Hellenic polytheism is the worship of the Hellenic pantheon of many Gods and Goddesses.

[edit] In ancient times

In ancient Hellas, worship of the theoi (the Gods) and daimons (spirits) was such an integrated part of life that it was considered a part of the culture itself. There is no ancient Greek word for "religion" separate from any other cultural aspect; the closest approximation could be "ta hiera", meaning roughly "the sacred" or "sacred things".

[edit] In modern times

In modern times, many terms are used by worshippers to refer to Hellenic polytheism as a religion. These include, but are not limited to: Hellenic polytheism, Hellenismos, Ethnikos Hellenismos (used primarily by members of YSEE), Hellenic reconstructionism, Hellenic paganism, and Hellenic traditionalism.
